My mum actually introduced me to this darling arbiter of style, Iris B. Apfel. We went to see her exhibit, Rara Avis, curated by the Costume Institute at The Met, several years ago and in the Fall of 2006 I had the great luck to see her in person at Deitch Projects' annual Art Parade. She ranks up there with Grandma Koch. Yvan took this lovely photo.
